Well, hello, blog friends! It’s been a long time.
Where to start?
To begin, I’ve been trying to balance the stay-at-home-mom gig with one class during Summer Session I. The biggest thing I’ve learned about myself while taking this class, a psychology class, is that I manage my time better with more classes. Last semester, I balanced 5 classes and a lab with a PR campaign and the rest of life and managed to get a 4.0 GPA, but I’m getting a B in this psyche class because my time management skills are lacking right now. It is what it is. My last class is Thursday and I am looking forward to about 9 weeks off from academics.
Speaking of the PR campaign, our team won a Bronze Bell Ringer Award at the Publicity Club of New England’s Bell Ringer awards ceremony a few weeks ago. It was a fun time and great to be recognized in my first year as a student again. I wrote about the event here.
I’ve also done a lot of reorganizing around the house and volunteering at events at the boys’ school. They only got out of school last week, so it’s been a busy 6 weeks or so.
I’m hoping to have a mix of fun and productivity over the next few months. I’m looking forward to reading some more on my Kindle, going to the beach and pool with the kids and getting more organizing done around the house. I have found that the more organized I am, the better it is for my mental health. I hate messes and I hate trying to find things. If things are in their places, I am a happy camper.
All in all, life is good right now. I’ll be a bit more content after my class ends on Thursday. Happy Summer and I’ll try not to forget about you all again!
